04. regarding canon portrayal, this blog takes the most canon from the HERINTERACTIVE NANCY DREW SERIES THE SILENT SPY and ALIBI IN ASHES in regards to nancy's past and timeline. i take lightly (in terms of personality, relationships and skill) from the NANCY DREW FILES series and the original 50+ books pre-revamping. there is also some canon on this blog that lines up with the nancy drew comic 'the big lie', though this comic is not directly my canon.

1991 - august: nancy elizabeth drew is born in new york presbyterian hospital. ¹ she is born to carson and katherine drew, and is named after katherine's great grandmother.
2001 - february: katherine and carson drew get a divorce. it is the ███████ year of their marriage. katherine moves out of the home in order to focus on her work, and nancy is left with her father. ²
2002 - march: carson and nancy receive the news that katherine drew has passed in a vehicle accident. there is nothing to be retrieved. carson and nancy have a funeral a week after receiving the news.
2004 - september: a month after her thirteenth birthday, nancy drew solves her first mystery in school. she receives a week of after-school detention for stealing erasers, and a letter home. she is not disciplined by her father, but silently encouraged.
2006 - october: nancy has continually solved mysteries inside and outside of school. she has been suspended twice already, though this does not affect her straight A grade.
2008 - march: nancy has gained enough notoriety within the last two years in her mystery solving, and people have called her river height's first amateur detective. she is dating river heights high school's football jock ned nickerson, who plans on going to emerson college next year. ³ nancy and ned win prom king and queen.
2010 - august: nancy is trapped in the burning city hall building, and she is framed for arson. this marks a shift in her relationship with local police.

2016 - march: nancy goes on a trip to scotland, following a lead that promises to tell her everything about her mother. this trip goes beyond poorly and she is double-crossed by the man who brought her to scotland, and almost killed. she learns that her mother was killed in espionage action, and she is pulled into fight against the same organization that killed her mother. she only is able to stop this organization's bioterrorist plan, though the organization still remains active.
2019 - january: ned nickerson has finished college and he and nancy have moved in together. they have been together for eleven years, though nancy has not expressed interest in marrying - especially after her scotland case. she has been receiving death threats and other warnings from revenant for three years.
2019 - february: nancy breaks up with ned after he proposes to her. she leaves river heights a week later.
2019 - august: nancy's car is found in the river heights river, and her belongings are a ways away. it is ruled as a suicide, but there is no body to be found or fished.

2022:nancy drew appears in a recent news article, and rumors of her resurrection begin to rise. while she does not admit it, it is obvious that her death was feigned. she moves to brooklyn, new york where she begins her own private investigative business. ⁴
